Over centuries and across all battle field’s European and Japanese armies and artisans sought long swords, broad swords, bastard swords, sabers, Scottish claymores, Irish short swords, medieval swords, and roman swords, created in Toledo’s forges. These sword craftsmen's knowledge comes from the most ancient Spanish technology. More than 2,000 years ago, in the 5th century B.C., Iberian blacksmiths already forged swords known as falcata which had an iron blade inside and a special design made to increase the bluntness of the slash. Forging multiple types of carbon steel, at a temperature of 1454 º F during the exact interval of time required, give the most perfect sword ever built in the world. These sword blades were not only sought for their strength but for their beauty as works of art.
